Our Coffee Culture
We are pretty serious about culture so in terms of trade, we only work internationally with suppliers of micro lots that have a commitment to developing communities through providing work, community development and education.
From a sustainable farming and community conscious perspective, we believe that fair trade and organic is now a bit sketchy, with potentially adverse impact on smaller villages and Farms. Its for this reason that we work with importers that hold direct trade contracts with the Farmers, families and small community co-ops.
The choice to support sustainable agriculture above Organic accreditation has enabled communities to win battles against crop diseases like the rampant roya outbreak of South America In past years. Many farms have been forced to lose the organic stamp in order to keep their people in work and continue to bring outstanding coffee to our cups.
