Brother and sister team Jonny and Esther started a small family business with one thing in mind. To bring good coffee to the Sunshine Coast and beyond!
The Pocket Espresso Bar began as a small coffee shop in 2012 in Moffat beach, Queensland and has now expanded from a hole in the wall, to an iconic Sunshine Coast culinary destination.
From little things big things grow and it wasn't long before the family had opened up Guru Life Venue in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. With 15 years of baristering experience, they knew what a perfect coffee should be and decided the only way they could get the ultimate drop was to roast your own. This is where their coffee roasting journey begins.

Fun Time Jonny’s beans are a delightfully strong blend, crafted over 10 years of roasting and a lifetime of pumping out coffees. We are very serious about ensuring every detail about our coffee recipe is perfected for the best flavour.
Depending on seasonal availability, we use a high quality and well balanced blend of aromatic beans from Africa and South America. This coffee is full bodied and punchy yet very smooth. A cup can be described as having an extra bold coffee taste with the aroma of roasted currants, blueberry jam and a smooth dark chocolate finish. YUM!

We will ensure that your staff have the very best of barista training, so that every cup is consistently made with the confidence it will be the best it can be for your customers.
We have partnered with Supreme Coffee Roasters and operate exclusively with them in Queensland. They are our experts, who support customers from Cairns to the Gold Coast. As cafe operators, we know the importance of having our teams nearby. Access to Support with Supreme is very slick and easy, and we share the same drive to run a streamlined coffee business.
